Pier

Step out over the sea with a walk along the pier and look back at the amazing seafront.  Spot fisherman's cottages, the unique Timeball Tower and the battlements of Deal Castle.  Along the whole length of the seafront is a dedicated path north, to the famous golf courses and south to Walmer Castle beyond.

Deal Pier

Built in 1954 the pier was the first seaside pleasure pier of any size to be built since 1910. Deal Pier continues to be a significant local landmark and public amenity. The pier has international recognition as an angling venue.
