DEAL TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL PROJECT FUND 2017/18

  • Deal Town Council's new Special Projects Fund is a one-off fund to support new projects which improve health and/or wellbeing of the local community
  • Groups are invited to apply for up to £2000 
  • DTC may also operate its own projects with support from this fund
  • Projects must be completed by 31st March 2019
A full project plan must be supplied which clearly demonstrates how the project will address the theme of Health and Wellbeing

Grant Policy Guidelines 

SPECIAL PROJECT FUND GUIDELINES:

1. Deal Town Council is prepared to consider applications for financial assistance from any of the following:

   a) Not for profit local organisations and community groups based in Deal or with substantial beneficiaries in Deal 

   b) Registered charities based in Deal or with a substantial number of beneficiaries in Deal

   c) Private businesses may in exceptional circumstances apply for financial support for projects which are clearly for the benefit for the residents of Deal. A maximum of 50% of the costs may be awarded. Businesses will be expected to provide copies of accounts to the R.F.O at the time of application

2. Applications must be made using the Deal Town Council 'Special Projects Fund 2017-18' form available from the Town Hall reception and on Deal Town Council's website

3. Applicants wishing to apply for a grant will also need to provide the following supporting evidence with their completed application form:

   a) A copy of their governing document e.g. constitution, set of rules etc

   b) Evidence of monies held in reserves or savings accounts 

   c) A copy of their last completed accounts and annual report if it exists 

4.  All questions on the application form must be answered in full, and all required documentation requested is supplied at the time of the application

5. Grants will not be awarded for specifically religious or party political purposes

6. Grants may only be used by the applicant for the named project and cannot be used to support payments by way of grant or donation to any other individuals or organisations

7. Contributions from the applicant organisation and resources cash or in kind will be viewed with favour by Deal Town Council 

8. Grant awards made by Deal Town Council must be claimed within 12 months of the date of the award. If not claimed the award will be rescinded
