Special Project Fund Launch
Wednesday 13 September
Deal Town Hall 6.45pm

Deal Town Council’s new Special Projects Fund is a one off fund aimed at helping local organisations who work in the field of health and wellbeing.
Deal Town Council is holding a Special Projects Fund Launch event on Wednesday 13th
September at the Town Hall. There will be a short presentation on the Special Projects Fund and councillors will answer questions about the application process. There will be an opportunity for networking after this and light refreshments will be served.

Deal is lucky enough to have a large number of charitable organisations which work to support people in need in the community. Some help people with disabilities, whether physical or mental, to live better lives. Others help people who are socially isolated or those who are struggling to make ends meet. Whatever their work entails our local organisations rely on voluntary contributions to help them do their work.

This is why Deal Town Council has established their new Special Projects Fund.   This is a themed fund and any organisation working to improve the health and wellbeing of the community of Deal is eligible to apply.

“One of our targets for the year is to support the voluntary sector in Deal”, said Cllr David Cronk, Mayor of Deal. “They are doing invaluable work, in very difficult financial circumstances, so it is appropriate for Deal Town Council to help where we can.”

Deal Town Council is launching the new fund at an event on 13th September in the Town Hall. Any person interested in attending should contact Jo Harper by email:  joanne.harper@deal.gov.uk or tel: 01304361999 for more information.
