WW1 Commemorative Exhibition 

Pro Patria “For one’s Country”

 Monday 12th November 12.30-16.30

Tuesday 13th November 10.00-16.00 

Deal Town Council has put on exhibitions over the past 4 years to commemorate the end of WW1, to draw these commemorations to a conclusion the Council is staging a free  two day exhibition encompassing a snapshot of all aspects of service in the locality of Deal.  


Exhibitions include the “Theatres of War” and the “Home Front”, the WW1 Belgian Refugees in Deal and Walmer,  as well an exhibition by the Expeditionary Trust on Anglo-French relations with the British Army in St Omer during the Great War. Materials for these exhibitions have been provided by Judith Gaunt, Suzanne Green and Pat Smith.

Members of The Royal British Legion Down’s branch will be in attendance, with a display of postcards written by pupils from Sandown School, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School and the Downs CEP Primary School thanking the WW1 generation, as well as a hand written leather bound Roll Of Honour.

 St Andrew's Day Dinner  

Friday 30th November 2018 

The Worshipful Town Mayor of Deal will be hosting a St Andrew's Day Dinner in aid of the Friends of Deal Hospital on Friday 30th November 2018 at 7.30pm at the Waterfront Restaurant, Beach Street, Deal.
