New Routes to try this September
We’ve been working hard with local riders to create new leisure routes for you to try. During Cycle September there will be a number of opportunities to ride them with a guide.
2pm Friday 13 September: Skylark Loop
A 15 mile ride at a gentle pace giving time to enjoy the early Autumn countryside through Martin, East Langdon and Guston. Then past Dover Castle and back along the coast on National Cycle Network Route 1. Afternoon tea stop at The White Cliffs. Book your free place HERE.
10.30am Tuesday 10 September: Pier to Pit (off road)
A 20 mile ride exploring the Kent Mining Heritage with some off road sections at Betteshanger and along the old railway line in Elvington. Stop off at the Miners’ Heritage Museum and some refreshments. Best on a Mountain or Gravel Bike. Moderate pace & undulating. Book your free place HERE.
1pm Thursday 19 September: Pier to Pit (on road)
A 20 mile ride exploring the Kent Mining Heritage. From the Pier the ride will head out to Sholden and the Miners’ Cycle Track, then Betteshanger, Tilmanstone, Elvington, Eythorne, Sutton, Great Mongeham and then Mill Hill, back to The Pier. Afternoon tea stop at Eythorne Station Café. Moderate pace, undulating. Book your free place HERE.
10am Saturday 28 September: Pier to Parlour
A gentle circular family ride with a stop at Solley’s Ice Cream Parlour in Ripple. Led by Hot Chilli Cycles. Easy pace, a little undulating. Book your free place HERE
