This spring, more than £7,500 has been awarded to local groups who will be encouraging nature, enhancing the town and taking direct climate action. Projects that will be funded include improved outdoor spaces, sensory gardens and other new projects.

Deal With It for a project to enhance nature at Deal Station
Deal Radio Community Group to improve the courtyard of the Landmark Cafe
Kent Museum Of The Moving Image for LED lighting
Deal Parochial CEP School to put towards a sensory garden
Evolution Music for new equipment
Deal Repair Cafe to help people repair and recycle goods, rather than buy new
The Downs CE Primary School for new planters and garden equipment
Deal Maritime and Local History Museum to create an environmentally friendly courtyard area
