Our Warm Welcomes offer warmth, refreshment and friendship during the  winter months, providing a bite to eat, cup of something warm and a chance to chat and share. There is no charge and everybody is welcome.

Social prescribing works in two key ways:

At the Deal Centre in Park Street the Age UK team are running a Warm Space on Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm from October to March.

Free hot drinks are available on Mondays and a 2-course meal for £3 is available each Friday.

There is also cost of living support for those aged 55+ in Deal, providing help with cost of food, fuel, white goods and other essential items. (Deal food bank are supporting under 55s). The scheme is running across the district, more info here or email Mark at mark.blamey@ageukskc.org.uk

Cost of Living Community Impact Fund

In line with the Dover District Council's cost-of-living plan, the Community Impact Fund is a grant scheme that will support residents through the cost-of-living. Applicants must demonstrate the impact projects will have on bridging the cost-of-living gap, for the benefit of Dover district residents. Applicants can apply for £100 - £5000.
