The pandemic has highlighted that access to open spaces near to where we live is vital. It has proven benefits to our physical and mental health.
It has been found that even just sitting outdoors for two hours a week can improve our health & wellbeing, lowering stress and the risk of cardiovascular disease. Our green spaces are not just places to relax, play, exercise and walk the dog, but social spaces, biodiversity havens, carbon sinks and green lungs.
In Deal, as well as having the glorious seafront, we are also lucky to have formal parks, recreation grounds and small tranquil spaces.
