Deal Town Council Grants 2024/25

Annual Grants - specific conditions 

1. There will be two categories of Annual Grant: 

Small Grants – awards up to £500

Large Grants – awards from £501 to £1000 

2. The total Annual Grants fund available is £20,000 

3. A minimum of 50% of the Annual Grant fund will be awarded as Small Grants 

4. Three rounds of Annual Grant funding have been agreed for the year 2024-25

Round 1:  Applications close on Friday 31 May 2024 (F&GP Meeting date: Tuesday 23 July 2024)

Round 2:  Applications close on Monday 30 September 2024 (F&GP Meeting date: Tuesday 19 Nov 2024)

Round 3: Applications close on Friday 31 January 2025 (F&GP Meeting date: Tuesday 18 Mar 2025)

2. Applications will be considered by the Grants Sub-Committee. Members will score applications according to the score sheets in Appendix 1c.

Deal repair Cafe applied for a grant to set up the new project which tries to fix much loved items, saving them from landfill and helping the environment.

Deal Radio volunteers and local community groups teamed up to do a spot of gardening to brighten up the town with their successful grant funding.

The Deal Pirates have completed two Bug Hotel making sessions. "Great teamwork and good FUN!" for the team taking part who have gifted some of the bug hotels to a local school - great for nature too!

The Deal Station Gardeners successfully bid for funding and with the help of the Deal Pirates and a team of volunteers you can see their newest planter in full bloom at Deal Station (on the Ramsgate platform)

Deal Town Council City of Sanctuary grant fund

Deal Town Council is committed to welcoming asylum seekers and refugees to Deal and has agreed to provide a new grant stream with a budget of £2,000 for the year 2023/24. (Read more on our 'Welcome the Stranger' page here.

Applications will be considered from individuals, host families and local organisations.
