Mary Hougham Almshouses date back to 1890 and consist of 4 flats

and 8 cottages that are located in Griffin St. Deal.

The charity aims to offer accommodation to over 60’s who reside in Deal and

who have found themselves in need of affordable accommodation.

Primarily those who are offered residency have some form of connections with

Deal Boatmen. However the charity is also able to assist those with financial difficulties from our community.

The current average weekly charge is £105 and includes the water usage

cost. Council tax (band A), and all other utilities are paid for by the resident.
