Major Mill Hill development to be considered by the Planning Committee

Published: 23 December 2021

Deal Town Council has received a formal outline planning application (21/01822) for the building of 140 homes on farmland to the west of Cross Road in Mill Hill.
The planning application will be on the agenda for the Planning Committee to consider on Monday 10th January 2022.

One of Deal Town Council’s legal roles is to be a consultee to Dover District Council on Planning Applications, which is why this application will be discussed by the Planning Committee.

Whilst Covid restrictions makes it difficult to have many members of the public at the Planning Committee meeting, anyone can send a written statement about any of the items on the agenda. These statements are circulated to committee members at the meeting.

Cllr Chris Turner, the Mayor of Deal, “I will be attending the Planning Committee Meeting and always encourage members of the public to submit statements as it broadens the discussion.”

To submit a statement, members of the public are asked to review the documents submitted by the developer, reference number 21/01822 at www.dover.gov.uk

Then send an email with their statement of no more than 500 words, to deal.town.council@deal.gov.uk, before 10am on Monday 10th January 2022.
