Our 2023/24 Annual Grants are now open

The new annual grants scheme has been given the green light for people and groups to apply for funding that will benefit those living in Deal.

You can bid for up to £500 or £1,000 from now until the end of February 2024.

The total grant fund for 2023/24 is £20,000, which is £10,000 more than last year. This is because council agreed that rather than the sitting Mayor nominating specific charities, the grant scheme should be extended for more organisations to bid for funding.

For the first time, all applicants will also need to complete an environmental checklist. This is to move the grants process inline with Deal Town Council’s commitment to be carbon neutral by 2025.

Finance & General Purposes Committee Chairperson, Cllr Trevor Bond said: “Our annual grants are always well received and this year’s allocation will see that great work go even further.

“If you have a project or scheme that will benefit the town and would be bolstered by some additional funding, then I would urge you to apply.”
