Annual Town Meeting 2024

Published: 08 April 2024

The Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday 30 April and everyone in Deal is invited to attend.

It is a meeting for residents, hosted by the Town Council.

The evening will begin with a presentation showing the Town Council’s climate action, guest speakers from the Samphire Project as well as updates from those who have received grant funding this year.

There will also be a short film introducing and updating the work of the council’s Town Plan.

Town Clerk Lorna Crow said: “The Annual Town Meeting is an opportunity for Deal residents to express their views and ask questions about any issue in the town. It is not a meeting of the Town Council, it’s a meeting of the electorate.

“We are, of course, open and available to residents all year round, but this special meeting brings everyone together, to get a real sense of the town’s progress and how that is shared with our residents.”

The meeting will begin at 7.15pm at the Town Hall on Tuesday 30 April. Space is limited to 60 people so early arrival is recommended.

If a detailed response is required on a specific matter, prior notice with details in writing by Friday 26 April will assist in providing a response on the night.
