Deal to Renew its Walkers are Welcome Status

Published: 12 April 2021

Deal is bidding to renew its status as a ‘Walkers are Welcome’ town.

Being part of the Walkers are Welcome scheme helps to encourage more walkers to visit, helps the economy and improves facilities and footpaths for those who live in, and visit, the town.

In order to be successful, the Deal Walkers are Welcome group need to collect signatures from 5% of the local population, that's over 1,300 people.

If you live in North Deal, Middle Deal or Mill Hill and would like to support the bid, you can add your signature to the group’s petition.

There are more than 100 towns in the Walkers Are Welcome network, including Dover, which joined in 2016.
