A great big Deal Warm Welcome
Published: 27 October 2022

• Centres open across town each weekday this winter
• All welcome for a cup of something warm, a friendly chat and a bite to eat
Deal Warm Welcome begins on Tuesday 1 November so people can meet up for a bite to eat, cup of something warm and a chance to chat and share.
Each weekday this winter at least one venue per day will be opening its doors to welcome people.
Deal Warm Welcome is formed by Trinity Church, Leaps & Bounds, St George’s Church, Golf Road Community Centre, Deal Film Club, Salvation Army, Deal Area Foodbank, Deal Rotary Pirates, Chequers Kitchen Cookery School, St Andrew's Church, United Families UK and Deal Town Council.
Guests can expect a warm welcome from each venue, refreshments, Wi-Fi and entertainment.
Mayor Cllr Chris Turner said: “The town’s motto is ‘Welcome the Stranger’ and we don’t want anybody feeling alone and worried about having a warm place to go or being able to get something to eat this winter.
“I would encourage everyone to go along to a Deal Warm Welcome, join in and have a chat. Sharing your time and listening and talking to others can be very rewarding.
“And my thanks go to all the partner organisations whose energy and kindness will make sure everyone in our town can be safe and warm this winter.”
