It's almost Climate Action Day!

There are only four days to go until Climate Action Day 2025 at Deal Town Hall on Saturday 15 November.

The focus of this year’s event is the sea and the town’s special relationship with the coastline.

Exhibitors include Deal With It, Pick Deal Clean, East Kent Climate Action, Walmer Town Council, Southern Water, Deal Town Council and Save Our Seas Deal And Walmer (SOSDAW).

There will be a café area with a tea and coffee station for free refills and a separate screening room, running two special films produced by Greenpeace. (Shows will be every 15 minutes)

Mayor of Deal, Cllr Mike Eddy said: “We’re delighted with the energy and enthusiasm in the build up for our second Climate Action Day in Deal, we’re even expecting a mermaid!

“The screening room and free refreshments are new to this year and visitors can expect to learn about the great local work that is happening to protect our environment.”
