Climate Action Day 2026 – Art and the Environment

Climate Action Day returns for a third year to celebrate our connection and commitment to the environment through art.

Inspired by Deal’s Town of Culture bid, local artists have been invited to create unique works that capture our natural world.

Mayor of Deal, Cllr Mike Eddy said: “We each perceive our relationship with nature in different ways and our love for, or concerns about, the planet are individual too.

“I’m really looking forward to the special exhibition for Climate Action Day. I fully imagine I will be both moved and inspired!”

Artists from South East Artists (SEAS), vibrant artistic community in Deal, will be exhibiting in the Chamber of the Town Hall.

SEAS’ Martin Cherry said: “We are excited and inspired to be part of Climate Action Day. We are committed to caring for our environment, promoting creativity, sustainability and proud of our community while helping to keep Deal beautiful for today and the future.”

Climate Action Day will be on Saturday 14 November from 10am to 2pm at Deal Town Hall and admission is free.

The SEAS exhibition will be staged in the Chamber and two art installations will be screened throughout the event in the Committee room.

Artwork from local school children will be on display in the Undercoft alongside additional exhibits and environmental information.
