🌳 Winter and spring tree workshops 🌳

Published: 12 October 2026

Do you know your cedars from your sycamores?

Are you in awe of all things arboreal?

If so Deal Town Council’s winter and spring tree workshops could be just for you!

We’re funding Kent Wildlife Trust to run two free events for Deal residents to discover all about our trees, their seasonal changes and environmental importance.

The Trees in Winter workshop will be held on Tuesday 1 December from 10am to 3pm at the Town Hall.

A second event, Trees in Spring, will be held on Tuesday 27 April 2027. Tickets are free but spaces are limited and must be registered in advance, when signing up you can apply to attend either one or both.

Mayor of Deal Cllr Mike Eddy said: “Trees are not only majestic in their appearance, they are mighty in our efforts to tackle climate change.

“Each one its own eco-system, home to such a variety of life, yet these gentle giants of nature, slowly, carefully clean the air, give us shade, give us sustenance.

“This is a great opportunity for people to come along to the Town Hall and learn more about these marvelous monuments!”
