The Addelam History Research Group was formed in August 2010 by members of two successful research projects on Upper Deal. Linked to Deal History Alliance

We have come together with the aim of opening up local history by engagement with the public and supporting each other in our various endeavours and special events. The Addelam History Research Group realised that the fragmentary approach was not good and so called all the interested parties together. This was a common view and we are now all linked. We have representatives from Deal Museum, Timeball Tower, Deal Castle, Addelam History Research Group (AHRG), Kent Family History Society (KFHS), the Deal Society, Deal Town Council and local historians.
